Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage, then subtract the result. 25% off $80 is $20 off, so you pay $60.
How do I calculate the discount percentage?
Subtract the sale price from the original price, divide by the original price and multiply by 100. An item reduced from $80 to $60 is 25% off.
How do two discounts in a row work?
The second discount applies to the already reduced price, so they do not simply add up. 20% off followed by 10% off is 28% off in total, because 0.8 x 0.9 = 0.72.
