These terms are an agreement between you and Vellenue LLC, which operates findacalculator.com under the name Find a Calculator. In these terms, "Find a Calculator", "we" and "us" mean Vellenue LLC. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Who may use the site
The site is intended for adults. If you are under 18, use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
2. What the site provides
Find a Calculator publishes free financial calculators and written guides. You may use them for personal or business purposes without registering and without charge.
3. Results are estimates, not advice
The calculators apply standard published formulas to the figures you enter. The results are estimates intended to help you plan and compare options. They are not financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and they are not an offer, a quote or a commitment to lend from any lender, bank or other institution.
Using the site does not create an adviser-client, fiduciary or other professional relationship between you and Find a Calculator. We do not know your circumstances and do not recommend any particular product, lender, investment or course of action.
Your own situation may involve fees, rounding rules, eligibility conditions, tax rules or contract terms that a general-purpose calculator cannot take into account. Before making a decision that involves real money, confirm the figures with the institution concerned or with a qualified professional.
4. Accuracy
We test each calculator against worked examples and correct errors when we find them or when they are reported. Even so, we do not guarantee that every result, rate, tax figure or statement on the site is accurate, complete or current. Tax brackets, contribution limits, exchange rates and similar figures change, and a page may not yet reflect the latest values.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- interfere with the operation of the site or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it;
- send automated requests at a volume that degrades the service for other visitors;
- republish substantial parts of the site's text or code as your own;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law.
Linking to any page on the site is welcome, and so is quoting a short passage with a link back to the source.
6. Ownership
The text, page design and software on this site belong to Find a Calculator and are protected by copyright. The mathematical formulas themselves are public knowledge and are free for anyone to use.
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email contact@findacalculator.com with the address of the page, a description of the work concerned and your contact details, and we will look into it promptly.
7. Third-party services and links
The site links to other websites and may display advertising or data supplied by third parties, such as exchange rates. We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. A link or an advertisement is not an endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIND A CALCULATOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR FREE OF ERRORS, OR THAT ANY RESULT WILL BE CORRECT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIND A CALCULATOR AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF MONEY, PROFITS, SAVINGS, DATA OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY RESULT OR INFORMATION IT PROVIDES. YOU USE THE CALCULATORS AND ACT ON THEIR RESULTS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
BECAUSE THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or certain liabilities to be limited. In those places, sections 8 and 9 apply only to the extent the law permits, and nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Find a Calculator and its owners and operators from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, that arises from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
11. Disputes
If you have a complaint, contact us first at contact@findacalculator.com so that we can try to resolve it informally.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any claim that is not resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
To the extent permitted by law, any claim relating to the site must be brought on an individual basis and not as part of a class, collective or representative action, and must be started within one year of the event that gave rise to it.
12. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and Find a Calculator about the site.
13. Changes
We may add, change or remove calculators and content at any time, and we may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
